Erasmus +

IES Las Banderas formará parte de un proyecto de Erasmus+ cuya duración será de dos años.
El nombre del proyecto es : 21st century European classrooms: meeting the challenge of the digital era with innovation and creativity. El país coordinador es Portugal, y los países asociados son Italia, Inglaterra, Bulgaria y Polonia, además de España.

El próximo lunes 24 de Noviembre, y durante toda esa semana, se llevará a cabo la primera reunión en Atouguia da Baleia (Portugal), a la cual asistirán los coordinadores de cada país. Dicha reunión servirá para empezar a desarrollar el proyecto y repartir las tareas entre los diferentes países.

Nos queda un largo camino por delante, pero lo afrontamos con mucha ilusión y con el pensamiento de que vamos a aprender y mejorar todos con este proyecto, tanto estudiantes como profesores.

International Women's Day 8th March

The differences between men and women in many aspects of our daily life  makes necessary the celebration of this day.
Coeducation has to be the key word in the education of our students. To work on it we listened to the song "One Woman" which was written to fight for women's rights througout the world.

Andalucia's Day 28th February

Everybody feels proud of his homeland and our students described their feelings towards Andalucia with sentences suche us:
"I feel proud of Andalucia because it is the most interesting place in the world."
"I am delighted with Andalusian beaches".
"I feel disappointed when people speak badly about Andalusia."

As usual, we had a typical Andalusian breakfast, and then students participated in different funny activities.

St. Valentine's Day , 14th February

In this special day, we have celebrated the LOVE DAY. The day when you can express your feelings and emotions to all your family and friends.
Our students let their feelings go free and for one day they became the most romantic poets. There was a competition of love poems and letters and the winner in english was Jose G. Ramos (3º Bil.). Here you can read his poem:

SCHOOL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE, January, 30th

This week we are celebrating the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace. We are dedicating this day to Nelson Mandela who died last December.

Our students will read and write about Mandela and his country: the students of 1º ESO will draw the map of Southafrica and will find out some geographical features about this country. In 2º ESO they will write a short biography and in 3º  they will investigate about Apartheid. Finally, in 4º they will read the poem INVICTUS, that Mandela repeated himself when he was in prison for 27 years. This poem gives title to the film they are watching in the Tutory lesson. The poem is the following:
